On Tuesday, our sixth year students started their mock exams. They were shortly followed by our third year students who started their mocks on Thursday. We continue to wish them all the very best of luck.

The Ember Team and The Cluny Chaplaincy Team created small gifts for each student doing their mock exams which included a prayer, sweets and a pen. Thank you to the fifth year students and the Ember Team for putting together these thoughtful gifts.

First year buddies were also thinking of their sixth years as they created good luck cards to attach to their buddies lockers.

This week we celebrated St. Brigid’s Day - Lá Fhéile Bríde - and welcomed the start of spring here at Cluny. St. Brigid’s Day is a day of hope, strength and remembrance for one of our patron saints. Students made St. Brigid’s Crosses from a variety of materials, even pipe cleaners.

Our Amber Flag committee practised making pancakes in preparation for pancake Tuesday after the midterm when we will surprise a year group with a treat!

TYs had a busy week that included a sushi making workshop, visit from two past pupils and a talk from marine zoologist Danielle Crowley. We hope you enjoyed these events!

TYs will celebrate their successful School of Rock musical performances today in the canteen.

Congratulations to the under-14 Badminton players who are through to the Dublin League semi-finals! We wish you the best of luck. Well done to our under-16s badminton players who came in second place as part of the Dublin League this week.

On Tuesday 07 February, as part of Internet Safety Day, there is a free online talk for parents, guardians and educators on the topic of internet safety for tweens and teens. For more information, please visit: https://buff.ly/3Jwb99j

We would like to wish all of our TY students who are completing work experience next week the very best of luck. We are looking forward to hearing about how your work placements are.

Our fifth year students will be on a school trip next week to Berlin. We hope you have a fantastic time.

That is it for this week. We hope you all have a relaxing weekend. And remember, here at Cluny, we dream of the days to come.
